surprised that most of the drug jokes stayed, and even some of hte sex jokes as well (they didn't bleep the word "dick")and even kept the oral sex symbol, and the infamus line "dude, i think i just filled the cup"

Why they didn't mute out the word "dick," they sure had a fun time muting out the word "cock."
So why do they call you Knocker?
I even got hit in the balls by a guy who calls himself Knocker!
A lot of scenes were edited to hell through. The scenes on the Miramax set, Holden's, Mooby's, the videorecording of Jay's C.L.I.T. video, and numerous others were hacked to shreads too.
What I want to know is what happened to the scenes Smith specifically shot for the television edit. I remember seeing scenes on late night talk shows back in 2001 with Carlin's scene as he holds up a sign that says "Will Give Love For a Ride."

I love when they immediately cut (or "ripple") from the two young Jay and Silent Bob to Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith, with Jason going "One, Two, Three, Four...", skipping many of the F-bombs utterred.

that edit is hilarous!I first question why someone would even bother bringing this to TV because half the lines in the movie would be cut or edited...
...
...
then i remember that edits = comic gold.
That above edit gets my "Son of a Butthead*" seal of comic approval.

I'm surprised they edited out anything at all. They seem to be saying whatever they want on cable these days!

Actually, I saw a little bit of it tonight and it wasn't that bad since the sound just cuts out when they curse.

i taped this for a friend who doesn't like a lot of swearing and sex jokes in movies for the hell of it, and without commercials, the movie was only 1 hour and 25 minutes, while the real version is about 1 hour and 45 minutes. so about 20 minutes of material was cut.

Here in Toronto, CITY TV (a local independant station) broadcast this film unedited. Yes, it's an over-the-air channer, and they had a disclaimer stating that the movie contains "excessive profanity". Here, movies that start at 9:00 PM generally are shown unedited, to a certain degree. I was somewhat surprised that they allowed all of those F Bombs, but it was funny as hell to watch again.

Name any other non-Joe Pesci movie with the F-bomb that many times?

You gotta admit that some edits are absurdly funny.
