Yeah I read something on AICN that WB badly wants Bay to do Superman. Guess it had a grain of truth to it?

Better him than McG, though I am sure both will yield a disaster.

At least Bay can capture that sense of patriotism. As long as he's not writing the script, I have no problem with it.

Agree. I think a Superman movie needs to be as big as a Michael Bay movie.

I'd also pick Bay over McG. Although certainly not my first choice, Bay knows how to put all of a budget onscreen. Supes needs to be a big 2 1/2 hr ride. Now, we just need a good cast...

Like the logo too.

I second that uh-oh.

If he makes this film, it will be one less film to see in the future.

Very scary, but much better than McG. If there's one movie that won't cave under all his jingoism and overexposures and slomos, it could be Superman.

1. Supes is a larger than life character
2. Supes is very patriotic
3. This movie needs to be BIG

I say Michael Bay is the better choice. Hell I think he would do better than Burton as well.

Michael Bay is great at the action stuff, one of the best. He's just terrible when he's forced to do the more "quiet" scenes, whihc is why Pearl Harbor was such a disaster. This doesn't bode well for anyone looking for a more character-based Superman.

One things for certain: this should be the polar opposite of Ang Lee's Hulk. Whether that's a good or bad thing depends on you.

Deciding between Bay and McG (what's with the name, does he think he's a bad ass rapper?) is like deciding between genital warts or crabs. One sucks a bit less than the other but they both suck donkey balls.

If the script is decent and Bay can rein in the flash and cheese, it just might work.

But if they can put Chris Nolan on Batman Begins I really don't know why they are confining themselves to these mega-budget directors who aren't even as solid as B-film or below journeymen...

Michael Bay would turn Superman into a warm, steaming, freshly-laid pile of cow shit crawling with maggots and flies. I want this man to have absolutely nothing to do with the character.

Damn straight. Michael Bay is perfect for what WB wants out of their Superman movie. I can't imagine a Michael Bay action sequence with the powers of Superman. It would be absolutely awesome.
