The soundtrack of our lives - mall/store music, not the band

Maybe I'm a tad of a sucker for music that plays in stores, but I like the music selection for American Eagle - very indie and British. Abercrombie used to be cool, but not it's too dancey, and loud. Safeway supermarket has cheesy 70's music, ballads, pop, Mo-town, which is fun.

Any of y'all actually listen to store music, like or dislike it, faves, thoughts?

I saw a list of songs played in Urban Outfitters once, and it looked okay. I also heard a Beulah song in a Polo store and that was pretty good.

I frequent a Mexican restaurant called "Chipotle" with an excellent blues/rock mix playing. I wonder if it's an XM channel. Where else can you hear SRV, Nick Cave, and Buddy Guy? I think half the reason I go is to sit down, listen to the tunes, and wonder what they'll play next.

this thread disturbs me deeply but somewhere out there a team of marketing executives is on the verge of orgasm.

I think they're spent.

Sometimes I hear cool music, but it always annoys me when I can't find out who it's by.
