My Bands first CD.

So after 10+ years, the band i'm in (The Four Eyes) finally put out a CD (someone else put it out for us).

catalog page:
http://www.plasticidolrecords.com/catalog

I'm just curious what people think (i'm not asking for anyone to buy it):
-Why would/woundnt you buy it form this site?
-What would you think the music would sound like?
-Would you download a song because you think it looks funny?

mp3 of first track download:
http://www.omsoft.com/home/dninja/Compucore.mp3

Give me your opinions, i think i'm old enough to not be hurt by what people say on the internet (even if the album looks like its aimed at 10 year olds). Some time i see CDs or band names and form an opinion (deerhoof?, what a lame name, they must suck).

so i took a listen & even went over to your band's site. which nerd are you in the photo, btw? i thought the lyrics were funny, but the music was a little too loose on compucore. i like the idea, though, of being the nerd version of the misfits.

i enjoyed that. I personally found the lyrics to be a bit better than the music. it made me laugh. the music was fine but kinda, you know, "generic". Lyrics were what differentiated it IMO.

you guys going on tour or anything? I see a lot of local shows at the troubadour or places in LA. if you guys ever come here let me know, i'll check you guys out

I enjoyed the track, probably will pick up your CD sometime. Especially after I saw in your lyrics section that you have a song about Deathrace2000

I didnt see Deathrace 200 til i was about 25. I was amazed that no one had ever made me watch it before since it was so good. Theres and "ok" version of deathrace 2000 in the mp3s section if you want to hear it.

Yeah I found it after I had posted about it.

I was a late comer to Deathrace also. A friend of mine in college had a party and we watched it. I was probably about 22 or so. Great film

Have you ever heard the Darkest of the Hillside Thickets? They sort of remind me of what you guys are doing (what you are to geek, they are to cthulhu ).

Is that a rust monster on your cover? I hate it when those things eat my swords.

Deerhoof are a hell of a lot better than your band's stuff, buddy.

Haha. i doubt too many people like both. I know Deerhoof and consider them sucky, we're all fine with that.
