Which do you prefer - Mainstream Hollywood films or Indie/Foreign?
Just wanted to see what films you prefer to see. I know everyone has their own particular tastes and this is a broad range but I'd like to see how the % turns out. Thanks!

I only watch blockbuster action flicks directed by guys like Michael Bay and James Cameron.

I would love to watch blockbuster action flicks directed by Indie directors.
Conversely, I would love to see an Indie/Foreign flick by guys like Michael Bay and James Cameron.

Just to give my opinion, like Giles, I prefer Indie/Foreign but I also like the summer popcorn films too.
The % of indie/foreign films I like is much higher than the % of mainstream Hollywood films.

I would say they are both equal. the amount of crap produced by both Indie and Hollywood is high while the both produce a number of good films.
Over all, I like films that I like. Indie, Hollywood, Bollywood, etc. it's all good if you ask me.

I picked equally. As long as it's a good movie, then I don't care either way.

My interest has totally moved to foreign cinema now. Hollywood hasn't put anything out lately that has pulled me back.
I voted for both though since this might just be a phase until Hollywood throws some stuff out that catches my interest.

It's about the film, not the budget. Lots of mainstream movies are pure genius, others are crapfests. Lots of indie/foreign movies are pure genius, others are crapfests.

Though I must admit, A bad indie/foreign film can stink FAR worse then a bad hollywood blockbuster.

So, there is only Hollywood Mainstream, and Indie/Foreign???
I think there are many titles in my collection that wouldn't be Hollywood Mainstream, but most of them certainly aren't Indie/Foreign, either...
I like classics, 80s films, sci-fi/fantasy, old vaudevillian comedies, anime, slasher films, samurai & kung fu flicks, cheesy comedies, etc., etc., etc.
Many of Hollywood's blockbuster popcorn flicks don't really appeal to me, but there are many other films from Hollywood that I do like.

As long as the film is good I don't care who makes it.
