Anyone care to recommend which of these DVD's are worth picking up with Gothika....

I'd pick up City Hall because of Pacino. But only if I was forced to buy Gothika

City Hall really doesn't go along. I thought House on Haunted Hill was pretty creepy until the end. It may be a spoiler, but the end was quite cheesy. Creep Show is a classic, but I find a bit boring.

House on Haunted Hill (the remake) is thes best DVD of the lot - it has good menus, good featurettes, etc.

And it fits with Gothika.
I thought it was a very good supernatural scare movie.

I haven't seen Gothika but out of the 3 offered Creepshow is the way to go. Romero and King? No question.

Creepshow. Romero, King, Savini= gold.

I only buy dvds with good menus!!!

Get Creepshow, it is the most entertaining of the 3!

I'm not the biggest fan but, buy Creepshow and House on Haunted Hill. The Gothika DVD can be used as a frisbee, and the City Hall DVD is great coaster.

apparently, i'm the only person who LIKED Gothika.

i completely loathe House on Haunted Hill, though...my wife has it and i've been forced to watch it against my will. I would go with Creepshow. it's pretty decent.

I thought Gothika was the weakest of the Dark Castle films so far... it wasnt horrible but it wasnt what I wanted to see. I wasnt going to buy it but with Creepshow included as a freebie I might just go get it Tuesday at 8am when Target opens.

Avoid Creepshow. The DVD has a nasty screen shimmering problem. There have been a few threads about that here, but I'm not sure where you can find them. I can't find them when I do a search because I think the one I remember is buried in one of the Wal-Mart bargain threads.

As stated above, Creepshow is available for $5.50 at WM.

City Hall used to be $5.50 at WM as well, but I haven't seen it there in a while.

I see both at my local Wal-Marts all the time.

I love that you threw city hall into that horror mix. Stands out.
I didn't like the film at all. And I'm a fan of the talent behind the picture.

My vote goes to creepshow. You'll get more bang out of your buck as it has 4 stories.

i'd go with house on haunted hill.... but only because right now that disc costs more than the others. As far as quality movie goes, I'd say Creepshow.... it's a classic.

what a horrible movie that was, seriously, spend that money going to see DAWN OF THE DEAD.

I picked up Gothika as a blind buy. Watched it last night and enjoyed it, although it certainly had it's problems. It was worth the money I paid for it, but barely.

Haven't seen any of the other movies you mention, so I can't be much help there.

I'd go with Creepshow - the DVD isn't all that great, but the movie is.

Gothika rocks... Creepshow is the best of the other three. I'd be embarassed to own the other two. But the ultimate Gothika companion piece should be What Lies Beneath, two films whose box-office was destroyed by their trailer: WLB's because it was nothing but a big spoiler and Gothika's because it was so weak, clichéed and cookie-cutter, it could have been a satire of a preview from "Mad TV".
