Do you watch historical movies on the day in question?

Inspired from a thread I deleted due to poor response... so I thought I would try a poll instead to see if I am the only one who likes to do this

From original thread:
I was wondering if I was the only person who liked to watch historical on the day the event occured (for instance "Longest Day" on 6 June or "Tora Tora Tora" on 7 Dec)? Assuming that I'm not I thought it would be an interesting idea to see if we can compile a list of movies and their corresponding days. What I'm really hoping to do is pick up some of the more obscure titles (for instance watching a "Man for all Seasons" on 6 July [the day Thomas More was executed] or "Luther" on 31 Oct [the day of the posting of the 95 Theses]). Hopefully it won't get too out of hand realizing there will be a plethora of some for some days (6 June for instance) I would like to keep it limited to either movies that focus on a specific day or ones that may be considered "memorials/tributes" to a specific person/highlight an event in that person's life (for instance Saving Private Ryan has the landing on 6 June but it's not really about that day, make sense?).

I'll try to keep the first post updated as people add new titles/suggestions.

June 6 - "Longest Day", "Band of Brothers (eps 2)"

July 4 - "1776"
July 6 - "Man for all Seasons"

Oct 3 - "Black Hawk Down"
Oct 31 - "Luther"

Nov 14 - "We Were Soldiers"

Dec 7 - "Tora, Tora, Tora"

NOTE: I'll add in IMDB or other appropriate links as I have time. I did the BoB one now since I had it handy

I like to watch at least one version of A Christmas Carol on December 25th.

One time, I watched The Quiet Man on St. Patrick's Day.

I was called sick once on this board for watching the Pearl Harbor attack on it's anniversary.

I don't go out of my way, but yeah...it'll be enough of a reason to drag out Saving Private Ryan, from the Earth to the Moon, or a Pearl Harbor flick.

April 15: "Titanic"(new)

Since I have neither the old "Titanic" or "A Night To Remember" on DVD, I usually watch the new "Titanic."

Gettysburg on July 1st and 2nd, but I only did that once.
The Thin Red Line around August. Also only did that once.
A Bridge too Far in mid September. Also only once.
The Iron Giant or October Sky on October 4.

Ditto for Tora! Tora! Tora!, Saving Private Ryan and The Longest Day.

...erm... why...?...

"St. Patty's day" ( how cute! - not!!! ) is about the Oirish, while Braveheart is about the Scots - two peoples from entirely different islands and entirely different countries... - or didn't you know?...

Isn't The Ten Commandments shown around Passover or Easter weekend every year?
