[i]Dimension is going ahead with the 4th film in the Scary Movie franchise, this time to be directed by Robert Iscove (From Justin To Kelly) and Written by Mitchell Hurwitz & Mark Brazill. The plot will have the group, still headed by Anna Faris and adding new cast members Jason Mewes (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back), Casey Affleck (Soul Survivors) and Caley Couco (TV's "8 Simple Rules")
taking on a hoard of undead zombies on a vacated US military base in New Mexico. The film is expected to start shooting in a few weeks with a October release date planned{/i]

Well this sounds just peach keen.

And here I thought they were done with 3.

Well while i cant believe they are making another one of these movies, i like the idea of Jason Mewes joining the cast and the Zombie plot, but why the director of "From Justin to Kelly"?

I smell a musical...

Well, I can imagine From Justin to Kelly was quite funny...

Perhaps that's not the right funny though.

And I remember how part of the tagline of the first movie was, "no sequel."

A future zombie film. I'm down for it. though I'm sure Shaun of the dead will be more funny.

I couldn't agree more. Shaun of the Dead just has to be amazing, anyone who has seen Spaced knows this. I can't wait.

I really thought Scary Movie 3 would be the last of them, I haven't seen 3 yet, but if it is decent enough I will welcome a 4th.

I thought 3 was pretty terrible - but I'm in the minority in thinking the Wayans brought the funny in the first 2. This 4th film doesn't sound very promising, but as usual I'll keep an open mind.

Well I like Casey Affleck, Jason Mewes, and love zombies, so I guess I'm gunna see this sometime. I hope it's funny.

Now if they would only sign William Hung to record the soundtrack, this would be the perfect movie...

Yay to Anna, Casey and Jason.

Boo to much of the rest... I'm sure "Shaun Of The Dead", which will be out sooner, God willing, will steal any thunder SM4 would have.

I thought From Justin to Kelly WAS Scary Movie 4.

He also directed She's All That... which did well for Miramax, so I'm sure that one movie has gone along way in getting him work.

Good: No Wayans Brothers.
Bad: No David Zucker.
Retracting the Bad: Scary Movie 3 wasn't that good anyway, but it was better than the first two anyway.

I'll hold all negative comments until October.

How long before Jason Mewes drops out of the movie because of a drug charge or something?

This big question is what non-horror blockbuster film will be its main target this time.

Love the cast... never caught the 3rd one though. The Wayans Brothers rock

Im with you, part of the reason why i didnt like the 3rd one was because it lacked the Wayans Bros. While they are very foolish, i feel like thats thier series, they brought thier style to it and it worked. I mean 1 and 2 were great and 3 was so so. Now if the 4th was to star C. Affleck, Mewes, The Waynes Bros., some zombies and a cameo from Silent Bob, damn!, ill be so there!

I never liked The Waynes brothers first two movies. SM3 was pretty good, so I'm not really looking forward to SM4. But with Jason Mewes and Zombies, who knows.... SNOOTCH TO THE BOOTCH!!!

He's cheap.

Bottom line.

yeah cheap..... the franchise is going to go down... bottom line...bring back the wayans....
