Will the complete "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" ever be released?
I know there are 4 volumes of the show available, but those include only the episodes directed by Hitch himself. As many fans of the show will tell you, there were MANY episodes directed by others that were just as good, if not better, than the ones Hitch did. This show was as big in the 50s and 60s as was the Twilight Zone. It would be great if (like the Twilight Zone), every episode of this classic show would finally come to DVD. If anyone knows anything, please share! Thanks.

Wasn't aware any were out there, aside from pairing with some movies. Can you give more details on those that ARE out, please?
I'd be very interested in getting sets, like the TZ. Great television. Great writers, great directors. What the H_LL happened to TV?

Vol 1: [came with the first 3-disc box, Psycho/Vertigo]
Lamb to the Slaughter
Case of Mr. Pelham
Banquo's Chair
Back For Christmas
Vol 2: [came with the first 8 disc box]
Revenge
Breakdown
Wet Saturday
Mr. Blanchard's Secret
Vol 3: [came with the second 8 disc box]
Poison
The Perfect Crime
A Dip in the Pool
One More Mile to Go
Vol 4: [came with the second 3-disc box, Knew Too Much / Rear Window]
Arthur
The Crystal Trench
The Horseplayer
Mrs. Bixby and the Colonel's Coat
Bang! You're Dead
One annoyance is that the movies in the three disc boxes are also in the eight disc boxes, so it's not a good way to collect them. Another annoyance is that it doesn't have the hour long episode he directed, 'I Saw the Whole Thing'.
It's pretty hard to find those in stores these days, though. E-bay usually has the individual discs.
Other episodes that I know of are:
'The Cheney Vase' [on the 'Young and Innocent' DVD]
'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' [on the 'Rich and Strange' DVD]

Universal should just release the entire series in season boxes. But, at the very least, they should bundle the four available volumes together. Selling different volumes with the same films just doesn't make sense.

Painkiller's right, jblackie. To better understand the predicament Universal has layed in Hitchcock fans' laps, see my post in this thread. It shows how in order to get all of the Presents dvds (if you were to buy them retail) , you would end up with duplicate dvds. Very frustrating.
