Reality Bites: Anniversary Edition

I see DVD Empire has just put this up for preorder on 6/8, but there are no specs at all. This is the first I've heard of it. Does anyone have any info on this?

Awesome!

This comes out on my birthday! This is one of my favorite comedies from the 90s and I will gladly double-dip !

Wonder what the features are like. This one hasn't held up as well to me as "Singles," my favorite early 90s dating comedy, but it's still got some great stuff in it and I wouldn't mind checking it out if it's got quality features.

Sounds cool, I usually don't double dip for extras, but it's a nice price for my fave Gen-X flick. Poor Winona, where have you gone.

I'm glad I haven't picked this one up yet.

Good review - you've sold me!

I'd put it under comedy, although it's not that funny...

Is this one worth the update? Is the transfer/audio/vid any better?

On my rental list for sure. Saw the preview on the Along Came Polly DVD and it seems hilarious!

I was senior in high school in '94.

This is definitely on my dip, dip, double dip, promise to repeat list!

Wow, I have to give props to Universal on this re-release. I usually don't double-dip for extras, but since I'm a "Gen-Xer" and Winona was in this, I couldn't resist. First off, it looks like the people have spoken since you can now skip their dreaded forced trailers by hitting the menu button (no more holding down the fast forward button or remembering to hit stop before the FBI screen disappears). I have to agree with Jason's review. The new transfer is just stunning, and the extras are the real thing, all at a great price point. The half-hour retrospective was awesome, and I was glad to see they got everyone involved back (good to see Winona again). One of the few commentary tracks I've ever listened to, Stiller and Childress provide a funny and informative listen. The deleted scenes were fun, but I'm glad they cut out the scenes with Lelaina's sister. Way too depressing and not in line with the fun flow of the film. Well worth the upgrade here.

Still trying to find someplace that is selling the 10th anniversary soundtrack now...
