Wow, check out this upcoming release of Schindler's List Collector's Gift Set packaging!!!

Too bad that the outside box material is brittle, so watch out for cracks when you get yours!!!

That is very impressive packaging. A great deal of thought obviously went into this release. Yet more money I must spend on my collection. I can hardly wait. This looks to be loaded with extras.

Good and stylish design... on the outside. I like the look, dont like the materials that are used. Looks pretty britle to me.

I am not buying this film!!

This was sorta posted in another thread but these pics give a lot more details. Why two of the Senitype? Ohwell.

With the box being prone to cracks I'll definately buy mine instore.

Beautiful box, but the extras aren't up to snuff.

If they included an exclusive extra DVD about the Holocaust, WW2, the Nazi rise to power, whatever, I would have bit in. But 2.5x the cost for a cool, but brittle/too big to fit in my display case with a CD and art book just isn't good enough.

I bought the Scarface Box for the box and the 1932 version of the film, not for the mini-posters.

EDIT: Is that extra CD in the digi-pak the audio soundtrack, or is it a 2 disc set?

Looks like the soundtrack. And from the last pic, the actual DVD is a flipper, as previously stated in another thread.

I loved the movie and a big pushover for novelty packaging - I'll plan to buy this set. Cool pics!

Wow love the movie and am going to get it,even though that is about the best damn looking dvd case i have ever seen still going to get the regular version, damn maybe not that set just looks to classy lol

And to whoever said that it looks brittle and the other guy that said its prone to cracks, why?you just guessing or what, looks pretty solid to me, from what i see in that pic it will not be prone to cracking, that plastic looks thick enough so lets not call it prone to cracking until someone actually has one,no use starting rumours without any evidence lol,of course i am just guessing like you are

NICE. I'm still debating whether or not to spring for that.

Neat looking set, but I already have the Collector's LD set with a nice booklet and soundtrack. I'll probably just get the regular DVD version.

Nice set!!! I am hoping Costco will have it for a decent price as I just joined and need to get some kind of good deal

Edited to add: Costco website is listing the price at $54.99 so I wonder if this will be the cheapest price around?

I am not guessing. This is the opinion from the seller who took these pictures and saw cracks on many of the boxes he intends to sell.

wow. nice. however I'm still torn between this and the R2 german limited edition

I kind of like the gold on black instead of the colorfull pic on the R1. Arrgh, decissions decissions

Yeah...hopefully the German R2 may be spread over 2 discs as opposed to being a 'flipper'...however the whole issue of whether subtitles are forced or not would have to be taken into account.
Comparing the R1 and German R2 pics..it looks to me at least that the CD soundtrack is presented in a 'jewel' case and that the digipak houses 2 discs in the case of the R2(?)

Well I can confirm 100% that these boxes are prone to cracking, and worse.

I was in a store yesterday that had recieved a consignment of them, and practically every one of the cases was broken in some way. Not just cracked, but actually broken. Saw one for myself.

Looks like it's a nice idea, but they sure don't travel well.
