Fantomas - Delirium Cordia
Didn't notice a thread for this record yet. Anyone else really love this record? It makes me feel like I'm watching a David Lynch movie or something. Anyone, anyone not familiar with the work of Fantomas, basically it's a "metal band" that pretty much does their best to make some of the most ****ed up sounding noises and stuff on record. It's really hard to explain, somewhere along the lines of experimental metal and avantgard. Mike Patton basically makes sounds with his voice instead of traditional singing, which a lot of times sounds really cool.
Just wondered if anyone else was into this group.

It was alright, not better than their first two albums, and probably more in line with a solo Patton album than anything else. A lot of down time throughout the entire thing, and then concluding with 15 minutes of a record spinning off the needle. Just decent.

I own the other records too, but for some reason I really love this. Directors cut doesn't have to be consumed in one sitting, which is good sometimes, but I like to just throw this and the S/T on together and listen to weird shit for 2 hours hehe.

I liked it better than the first album... But it resembles it pretty closely IMHO... Just one long track instead of being split into 30 tracks. Not as good as The Director's Cut, whch I loved... I'm pretty interested in the next album though, curious what that one is like, haven't seen a release date set yet.
I dunno... Need to spin it some more but I wasn't blown away by it.
