Has Steve Martin's "Cheaper by the Dozen" been Marketed?

It seems like this remake of the Clifton Webb classic is hardly being payed attention too. I loved the original and I want to see the new one. But the lack of marketing is worrying me.

Am I missing something here?

I saw a commercial for it on TV last night. It might have been between King of the Hill and The Simpsons, but I don't remember.

I've seen commercials up the wazoo for this movie. They show up during Smallville episodes at least twice. (I'm guessing cause Tom Welling is in both... )

I see commercials all the time on The Learning Channel. And I believe they're doing a promo tie-in with next weeks episode of Trading Spaces.

Yeah, I assumed the thread title was sarcasm. This has been the most heavily promoted film of the holiday season (so far). They're on at least the 3rd or 4th batch of TV ads. The first group made it seem like all Steve with some Bonnie Hunt thrown in the background, and this newest crop gives light to all the known faces that are in it: Welling, Duff, Perabo, and Ashton "I'm AWESOME!!!!" Kutcher. The best part of Christmas will be not having to see ads for this anymore.

Every 15 minutes someone dies in an alcohol related collision.

Every 3.5 minutes someone sees a commercial for "Cheaper By The Dozen".

I've seen the ad twice. Three weeks ago and yesterday during the Simpsons.

I imagine this film will flop here in Utah. "A dozen kids? Steve Martin is an amateur!"

They probably won't take too kindly to the single wife either.

Having grown up in the Beehive State, I had a few neighbors with large families. The folks three houses down had 12 kids and then four houses after that, they had 13.

And my father is #5 of 12... and I'm #1 of 7.

But I can appreciate the humor in your post Groucho.

I think you are missing something. I too have seen the commercial for this movie countless times over the last few days.

Ah, yet another inispid 'hip' remake movie of a book I loved as a kid, just like Eddie Murphy as Hugh Lofting's "Dr. Dolittle." Because they just aren't quite classic kid's lit without fart jokes and Ashton Kutchner. The ol' childhood keeps getting raped, don't it?

A little off topic, but I saw a Simpsons commercial during my viewing of Cheaper by the Dozen last night on Fox.
