I have the TSU-6000 (the color model) and I LOVE it! Best A/V purchase I've made in a long time. I enjoy my system so much more now that I have a remote that does exactly what I want it to.

Anyone buy products like this that are refurbished?

I'd love to get an extended warranty on it, if they offer it

If you don't mind touchscreen you'll probably love the Pronto. Designing your own custom layouts are very cool and functional.

This IS a touch screen remote. A customizable touch screen is exactly what I am looking for

OK, apparently the Yahoo store "AV Outfitters" is sold out of the TSU-3000 Refub model.

Anyone dealt with this place "Refurb Depot"?

Here is the link for the remote there

I thought I remembered a thread saying to avoid Refurb Depot. I tried a quick search but didn't find anything. You might want to look for it though. I think it was in the last 30 days.

There was a thread about refurb dept somewhere.... check resellerratings.com (I think that's the place that was linked in the thread). The ratings of refurb depot were terrible, people had nothing but problems with them.

Avoid refurb depot, fer shure. Nothing but problems and bad reviews for them everywhere.

As for the Pronto, it's OK if you like touchscreens. Many folks prefer hard buttons (myself included) for easy no-look control. The remote to beat in this category is the MX500, with a plethora of buttons, incl. 10 buttons with lcd labels, and everything is programmable/learnable/macroable.... Really mimics the original remotes (e.g. cable or dvd) with all needed functions at hand (like sound modes), and you can control it all easily by touch. First remote that really let me retire all the originals without sacrificing anything like 'advanced' functions....
