Help! I think my receiver died!

Hello

My Pioneer VSX-D557 that I got for Christmas 1998 has been working fine since I got it. In fact it was just working fine friday night. Well on Saturday I moved to a new apartment and when i re-hooked everything up Sunday night the front channels aren't working.

I can plug any of my speakers into the center and rears and they work fine (The subwoofer works fine too). But whatever speakers I plug into the front left or right, nothing comes out. Even if I plug 2 speakers into the Speaker B plugs, and turn on SpeakerB, nothing comes out.

WTF?

Does this happen to receivers? Especially ones only 5 years old?

If it got jostled in the move would that make those 2 channels stop working but everything else still work fine?

Whats going on here? Help!

Something similar happened with a much older receiver. I took it into a shop and had them look at it. After a cleaning and a couple of inexpensive parts it was good as new. It cost about $50-75 CDN.
