Question for Yamaha owners
I really want to get an RX-V2400, but want to get it online. I am concerned about the manufacturers warrnanty. From what I gathered, if you don't buy from an authorized Yamaha online merchant, you don't get the manufacturers warranty. I can find it for much cheaper from other repuatable merchants (just not on Yamaha's "authorized" list). Is this true they don't honor the warranty if bought from one of these other merchants? Any info would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Oh, are there any first impressions with this unit (or it's little brother, the RX-V 1400)? It seems like the best well rounded bargain for the money.

great receiver, go for it! if you get it online, you will practically get hung up on if you call them, and if you try and bring it to best buy or some place thats authorized to service yamaha, they will GLADLY charge you full amount, without even trying to help out... sorry, but thats what you pay the extra cash for.
