is a 6.1 HTIB worth getting over a 5.1 HTIB?

specifically i'm leaning towards onkyo HTIB setups. but never been able to hear a 6.1 setups myself. is it worth getting?

anything encoded for 7.1 dd/dts will also play on a 6.1 setup right? the only difference being the rear center isn't being duplicated on a 6.1?

Discs are not encoded yet for 7.1 There are receivers that will produce a 7.1 signal, but that is usually just a matrixed sound from the reaer center channel for both of the rear center channels. A 6.1 setup is nice if the equipment is good enough and you have some 6.1 discs (Day of the Dead: Divimax, FOTR:EE, and Blade II come to mind right off the bat). For some reviews from users of your HTIB, go here , and for more 6.1 info go here.
