Rear Projection TV Under $1500
I am in the market for a 16x9 high def rear projection TV, probably 42-50 inches. I am looking to spend between $1000 and $1500. It is important that I get one that allows me to adjust the overscan! If anyone here has suggestions for brands and models, I would really appreciate your input. Also, is it worth spending $300 on an extended warranty?

You might find a Mitsu model (55 inch) for around that price--even if it's a floor model, could be a good deal. The Mitsu's definitely allow lots of tweaking--see hometheaterspot.com for details. (A membership gives access to a large library of Mitsu tweaks, incl. codes to access the service menu, adjust overscan and, just as important, linearity).

You can usually score a nice 52" HDTV when they are on sale so just keep you eye out and be sure to demo the model you want beforehand to be sure it is what you want.
