DirecTiVo and Sony Wega question

This isn't expressly about these items, but this subject - how do I use the "timer" function on my Sony Wega so that the TV turns on to the Today show every morning?

Right now the TV turns on at 7am on channel 3 to get to the TiVo and I manually programmed the TiVo to record at 7 for 5 minutes so that NBC is shown. Problem is that TiVo decided to record something ELSE simultaneously so I ended up waking up to a TiVo suggested recording from BRAVO instead this morning!

Any ideas on how I can force TiVo to NBC so that my TV wakes me up with the Today show? Thanks!

Sounds like you've got suggestions enabled. If you disable them, you could turn NBC on at night before you go to bed, and it'll still be there when you wake up. At least, that's the way it's supposed to work.

Also, you can change to your other tuner (it sounds like you've got both enabled), and even though it may be recording on Bravo, the Today show should be in the buffer on the other tuner, and you could even rewind it if you wanted.

When you hit your live TV button you swap from tuner to tuner, if you could figure out which tuner is going to record the today show, you are in business, but I'm not sure yet if that is even possible...
