Anyone Have the Zenith HDR230 HDTV Recorder?

This is an HDTV receiver, and it has an 80GB hard drive. It can record 8 hours of HD programming. If anyone has this, can you please answer a few questions...

1) Can you record one channel and watch another simultaneously (like a VCR)?
2) Will it turn itself on (like a VCR) when you use timer record or do you have to leave it on when you leave the house and want to record something (like some dish receivers)?
3) Is there any difference between the quality of HD recorded shows and live HD shows? In other words, does it record the full HD signal (1080i or 720p) or does it downgrade the signal (like a VHS VCR downgrades an analog signal)?

Thanks!
