a local shop quoted me a price of 2850.00 complete for a Toshiba 57HX93. this price includes tax and a 4 year extended warranty.I also get in home delivery and unpacking of the tv as well.

Do some research to find out...
Use MySimon.com or PriceGrabber.com, Circuit City.com, Best Buy, GoodGuys etc etc etc... and find the same model and see what the average price for the TV is....mystery solved.
Good luck!

From: The chair at the top of the stairs..
It looks like a good deal from the short search I just did (only looked at prices, not the tv) lowest price I found was $2,700 before shipping.. and they were out of stock.. so with free delivery and a 4 year warranty.. hmm maybe someone else can help out..
btw: it was new and not a floor model right? if it's a floor model, ignore anything I said

brand new. not even in the store yet. it won't be in for a few more weeks. I can't check BB or CC or similar stores since they don't/won't carry this model.
