Can't say I'm suprised with the score. Game never did interest me after reading previews.

At least Capcom is releasing Viewtiful Joe, which I can't wait to get my hands on.

I thought it was a really pretty game and controls were good and it was just cool, but after hearing about how repetitive it is - from enemies to textures to maps - I figured this would get unfavorable reviews. That's too bad.

The game didn't get great reviews when it came out in Japan so I was expecting pretty much the same here. I'm probably gonna rent it though because I always thought it looked like it had a lot going for it.

On the other hand, I cannot wait for Viewtiful Joe. I've seen nothing but praise for that game .

I'm still going to pick this up. EB had a coupon for put $5 down, EB takes off an extra $10. It's already 39.99 so it's going to be cheaper-24.99. Mmmm...Viewtiful Joe.

Actually, if you look at GameRankings, it has a 71% overall average and an 8.2 average user ranking. I have had the import for a few months, and if you liked Gungrave or games of that style, you will love this. It's not really long enough to get repetitive. It's all about the replay, chaining the enemies, and unlocking everything.
