What's been up with the last two weeks?

Seriously, anyone could have put out a half interesting looking movie out and made a good amount of cash. I mean, Freddy vs Jason in the top spot for TWO WEEKS? My Bosses Daughter opening at like, NUMBER 10???!

And what's coming out next week? Ugh, man...

Looks like the summer sizzled out. No major new blockbusters. Considering how it was for a while back there with the latest new release decrowning the last weeks winner, you figure some of the studio's could spread it out. then again kids are back in school by now or close to it so not much new will be hitting out.

The end of August has been a traditional dumping ground for several years now - a perfect time to stay home and catch up on the DVDs.

End of August is terrible for big movies. No big deal, since it gave me time to finally catch up with Seabiscuit, which was pretty good, and also to see Dirty Bad Things (which was just so-so, IMHO).

Next week I'll go see American Splendor.

Yup - same thing with the second half of January.

This is nothing new. It's always like this in very late August/early September. No news here.

Oh, I know that... but this has been VERY VERY bad... it is just laughable. Seriously, they should have released something like Alex and Emma, or Rugrats here it it might have actually been seen by more then one person. I guess if you're a horror fan you're not doing too badly....
