If you've seen the movies in the series maybe you can help me out. I watched the 400 Blows, then Antoine & Colette and then Stolen Kisses. At the beginngin of Stolen Kisses Antoine meets with Christine's family already knowing who they are. At first I thought this was Colette's family but its Christine's family. Where does Christine come from? Was she in a previous movie I didn't see? I could of sworn I was watching them in order but don't ever remember a Christine yet Antoine is well known by her entire family. Can somebody clear this up for me?

Obviously several years have gone by between Antoine & Colette and Stolen Kisses. In that time, Antoine meets Christine and her family (as well as going through a fairly disasterous military service). I too thought this was Colette's family when I first saw it, but quickly figured it out. That's one of the things I liked about the series. Truffaut alludes to events that happen between the films, but doesn't always say explicitally what they are.

To answer your question more clearly: She is a new character introduced for the first time in Stolen Kisses. She does not appear, nor is mentioned, in either The 400 Blows or Antoine & Colette. The events which lead to her and her family knowing Antoine take place between Antoine & Colette and Stolen Kisses, and are never really expanded upon by Truffaut.
