Oliver Stone, only because I was intrigued by what he had hoped to make when he wrote the original draft of "Conan the Barbarian." In the documentary on the DVD, it sounded more like Lord of the Rings with all the mutants and monsters he had written into the script.

Wachowskis- They're gonna be producing anyways and we can have a barbarian rave scene.
Ang Lee- Watching him try to squeeze meaning out of hacking a person apart should be fun.
Pete Jackson seems to like these kinda movies. Gore factor would be way high.

Indeed, I hope Basil Pouledoris comes back to do the score. The soundtrack to the first film is a golden classic, one of the best scores ever composed.

I would vote against Milius at this point, simply because who knows if he has any directing talent or skill at all. I mean, one movie does not mean he has the chops more than 20 years later. I do like the Oliver Stone idea though.
