Which X-men character would you be?
Forgive me if this thread has been done before or if it's in the wrong forum (Other?). With X2 out in theaters now, I figure a thread like this would be fun. When we were all kids, I'm sure we talked about what superhero it would be cool to be (some of us even talk about this, ahem, as adults). What X-men character (in the movies, or not) would you want to be? Why?
I figure this is a good way to learn more about the different characters since I know next to nothing about the mythology.
Here's a link (all credit goes to Ketamine for providing this link) to bios of the X-men characters and a brief history of the comic:

Pick a mutant, any mutant!

what a ridiculous question..
why would someone actually want to be a comic book character..?

Magneto
Just imagen controlling metal.. oooh, Back in the hey day my handle would be Magnus.
another pick would be Gambit.. Lot's of fun blowing stuff up, not to mention the whole look behind him aswell as the charisma which was originally one power and then was forgotten for some reason by writers. Shady past is also cool about him.

I don't know about X-men but I've decided which mutant I would be: Apocalypse. Man he sounds cool as hell.
"Known superhuman powers: Apocalypse is a mutant who possesses superhuman strength which he can augment by psionically drawing on outside energy sources. Apocalypse can alter the atomic structure of his body at will in order to change his form. He can even increase his size by taking on additional mass from a presumably extra-dimensional source. Through his ability to alter his form, Apocalypse can give himself virtually any superhuman physical power. Apocalypse's "costume" is actually part of his body, and he can psionically alter its appearance at will. He can levitate himself telekinetically. Apocalypse has an extraordinarily long life span that has already lasted thousands of years. He can survive for weeks without food or water and can rapidly recover from injuries that would prove fatal to normal human beings."

Magneto...weapons everywhere. Once, I believe, he even pulled molten metal from the lower levels of the Earth!
If I had to pick a hero, it'd be Wolverine, no doubt. I'd use my powers for evil, though, I know it. Killing people would just be too tempting.

My favorite line from the cartoon, he says "You have traveled over 50 centuries of time to stop me. When will you learn it cannot be done?" Doesn't get more arrogant than that.

I would want to be Wolverine or Professor X, but I would probably be more like Cyclops.
