Your favorite Kevin Spacey MOMENTS!!

I just watched "Swimming with Sharks" again and I admire how versatile he got over the years.

My favorites:

1-The Usual Suspects (well DUH!!)

2-American Beauty

3-L.A. Confidential

4-Se7en

5-Hurlyburly

Oh and I gotta add his SNL performance as "Christopher Walken" doing "Han Solo"... That's a gem!

What are your favorites?

1. When he eyed poor pregnant meryl streep and her wedding ring on the subway in "Heartburn" and soon robs her.

2. When he sniffed coke and tried to molest melanie griffith in the back of a taxi while watching a porn in "Working Girl".

3. His first scene in "American Beauty. He really handled that scene well.

4. Getting run over by kevin kline in "Cosenting Adults".

5. The scenes that were cut from "The Usual Suspects" where we learn that verbal kent goes into physical rehabilitation to help correct his handicap.

I agree with that spot on SNL. Kevin does excellent impressions.

His worst moments include starring in the crapfests:

k-pax
the life of david gale
pay it forward
The shipping news
The big kahuna.

Kevin, dude, COME BACK!

he also did Walter Matthau as Obi-Wan, iirc. that would be one of my favorite moments.

I loved him in The Usual Suspect and L.A. Confidential. While I found his performance in Hurly Burly very good, I got bored with the movie itself.

Ditto. I was very surprised to find Hurly Burly to be a snoozefest.

Josh: those aren't moments, they're films.

Anyway, I'd rank the conversation in the car in Se7en, the "Sweet 'n' Low" monologue in Swimming With Sharks and the "you're so busted" scene in American Beauty pretty high.

I would definitely rank the conversation in the cruiser as some of his best work EVER. It was truly creepy and made you believe that he really was a killer. That and when he finally reveals the final murder to Brad Pitt--absolutely chilling.

Favorite moment from L.A. Confidential:

"Rollo Tomasi."

Most of the good stuff has already been mentioned.

I've caught The Big Kahuna on cable a couple times and I actually enjoy it. As I remember, they tried to sell it as a comedy which it is far from.

- Every scene in American Beauty
(most notably the scene where he first meets Angela (not the dance dream...the schoolyard scene)

- Of course the final 20 minutes of Seven

- his final scene with Jack Lemmon where
Spoiler:
Jack is busted.
The gum chewing was so awesome.

One of my favorites is at the end of American Beauty, when after Angela excuses herself to go to the bathroom and he stands there and realizes just how happy he really is. And then, when he picks up the picture and goes over to the table and says "Man, oh man." "Man, oh man, oh man." One of my favorite moments of his careers.

I agree with the ending of Se7en and Usual Suspects and Glengarry Glen Ross.

Fave Spacey

My favorite Kevin Spacey moment...

I guess it'd have to be the time he came to my house. We did an impromptu impression of Fiddler on the Roof in my living room, and then we collapsed into a hot man-on-man make out fest.

Sadly, I haven't seen him since K-Pax finished filming, but I'll always have that flannel vest of his.

Sigh.

For some reason, I always remember the following scene from American Beauty:

Carolyn Burnham: Don't you mess with me Mister, or I'll divorce you so fast it'll make your head spin!

Letser Burnham: On what grounds? I'm not a drunk, I don't **** other women, I've never hit you, I don't mistreat you..I don't even try to touch you because you've made it so abundantly clear how unnecessary you consider me to be! But, I did support you before you got your license. And some people might think that entitles me to half of what's yours. So, turn off the light when you come to bed!
