Your favorites among my favorites!

Got this idea from another forum. I want to know how my tastes compare to the tastes of this forum. VOTE FOR ALL THE BANDS THAT YOU LIKE!

Then in your post, put them in these categories:

-Bands that are among my favorites too:

-Bands that have some good songs but I'm not a big fan of their overall work:

-WTF were you smoking when you put them on your favorites list?

Have fun!

I voted for the Roots. Radiohead and Beck would be next, the rest I don't really care for.

I own at least two CDs from everyone on that list except Portishead and The Roots, neither of whom I'm really into. Hard to pick a "FAVE" from that very solid list although if I had a gun to my head I'd put Beck and Radiohead near the top.

Tool is actually the last band on the list I'd pick (unless I got to watch their videos).

Blur, Beck, Radiohead and Wilco.

Nice list...

Some of my favorite bands: Wilco, the Roots, Portishead and Tool.

Like NIN, but only have lost highway soundtrack and the fragile...blur only their greatest hits (because after owning all of their cd's at one time, all I really liked is what is on that greatest cd) and have beck's last cd. The rest...nope.

My favorite on your list is Tool then Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age and Portishead. The rest I don't really listen to.

I enjoy all types of music and artists, as long as they're talented at making the music they "specialize" in. I don't dislike any of your choices, but the only band that I would put in the category of
"Bands that have some good songs but I'm not a big fan of their overall work:"
would be Wilco.

Love:

Radiohead
Beck
NIN

Sort of like/but haven't listened to enough:

Queens of the Stone Age
Tool

Either dislike or haven't listened to the others.

I like Radiohead and Beck (haven't liked the last 2 Beck CDs though)

I like a couple of songs by NIN

The rest, I either haven't really heard, or have heard, and don't like.

My favorite:
Wilco (one of my top 5 artists, definitely)

Artists whose work I like a substantial portion of:
Beck
Radiohead

Artists with a few songs I like but don't consider myself a fan of:
Elliott Smith
NIN

Artists I've heard very little of or not at all:
Blur
Tool
Portishead
Roots
QOTSA

Wilco is my favorite on that list, followed by Queens of the Stone Age.

I like Elliot Smith, Beck and the Roots (but I don't own any of their albums).

I haven't listened to NIN and Radiohead in eight or nine years (don't own any of their albums anymore either).

Don't listen to Blur, Portishead and Tool (except for what I have heard on the radio).

I voted for Portishead, top 10 in my list. I, for the most part, enjoy Radiohead and QOTSA. I dislike NIN and Tool immensely. Beck and Blur I don't care for, just liked a song or 2. The others have never listened to, and probably never will.
