In case you don't know what I am talking about, its a movie where when ever you hear a particular song on the radio or on cd, you always think back to that movie or tv show.

For me its, "Build Me Up a Buttercup" in There's Something About Mary, and "Don't Fear the Reaper" from the cowbell snl skit. (I even tap my hands down when the cowbell part comes on)

"Hungry Like the Wolf" by Duran Duran and Hot Dog.....The Movie - If you've seen it, you'll remember.

Just about any song ever mentioned on Seinfeld: "Desperado," "Witchy [Witch-ay?] Woman," "Downtown" by Petula Clark ("Like the song?" "There's your answer!"), "Next Stop Pottersville."

"Rockstar" - Mystery Men - it seems to be in tons of movies now but that was the first one I remember hearing it with.

Don't Fear The Reaper - The Stand - first time I heard it with a movie so I associate it with the movie. Same thing with origional "Dont Cry Its Over"

I agree with many mentioned so far.

How about.....

DOO Dum BOW BOW Chica Chicaahhhhhh

You know; that song at the very end of Ferris Bueler's Day Off.
I think it was called Oh Yeah and was sung by Yello.

Thats a classic.

My biggest problem is that each time I hear Bitter Sweet Symphony I remember waiting in the lobby of AMC Pleasure Island. I spent a ton of time in there and always heard that song. Love it and it makes me miss FL and AMC.

"The Simpsons" has tainted many a song for me. Like "The Joker" by Steve Miller Band.

How about "I Just Checked In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)" and The Big Lebowski?
