Is anyone not trying to see the new trailer and tv spots for the Matrix Reloaded?

I am trying to avoid watching any of the trailers and tv spots after watching the superbowl trailer. When the first matrix came out I only saw some tv spots and when I finally saw the movie I was blown away. I just want to make sure I don't see too much of it. Based on what I have been reading about the trailer it seems to be incredible. I am also trying not to see any x-men 2 trailers as well. Does anyone else try and avoid trailers so as to not spoil anything?

jigga i am completely with you. i do this all the time. i don't watch trailer, tv spots, poilerific reviews, or previews for anything - movies, tv, books, etc. i find it really hard to do sometimes, though. while never seeing a tv spot or trailer for the matrix i know of some of the new characters, and the like. one thing i was really excited to see was a bus poster for x2 with

on it. looks great! i do this with almost everything. i don't watch previews for upcoming tv shows, or anything. if i see something coming up on tv, i cover my ears and hum, mute and lookaway, or change the channel. i like my experience to be as clean as possible.

The Wachowski's are pretty smart guys, I don't think they'd let WB advertising destroy the secrets of the movie which they've been guarding so heavily for four years.

Besides, I watched the original Matrix trailer and TV spots like a mofo before the original opened and I still left the theater with my jaw on the ground.

I kinda pissed because I am already sorta ruined for the movie. I have seen and heard entire fight sequences (through my work), and am afraid that the movie will be no fun once I finally see it in the theaters. However, after seeing the trailer yesterday, I have a feeling there is quite a bit I still haven't seen.

Watching trailers and such just get me more excited. Especially for the Matrix Reloaded. I think this is the most excited i've ever been for a movie, simply because of the trailers.

The trailer wont give anything away. infact the brothers held back the Matrix SE dvd for the reason that it might contain spoilers. So I think it's safe to assume that the trailers were over looked and made to the needs of the brothers NOT trying to spoil anything

I've also avoided the new trailer (unless they attach it to something I see before then!) and other stuff about it, because I too am very excited and don't want too much spoiled. Since I don't watch much TV to begin with, it's easy to avoid commercials, entertainment shows, and other potential spoilers.

I also tend to avoid Matrix threads here on DVDTalk, with one obvious exception.

I avoid all trailers, commercials, even conversations about movies that I am anxiously awaiting. I'm way too neurotic about it, as my friends would tell you, but i don't like for anything to be given away before i see the movie. I want it all to be completely fresh. i would think the filmmakers would want it that way.

The japanese trailer has spoilers.

Normally, I only avoid trailers for comedies... action movies I like to watch the trailers first.

i thought about this when i was mid way through watching the trailer. i agree that it can spoil things, not plotlines or anything but just some of the cool effects or moves. i think i'll avoid the trail for it as much as i can and hope i forget abit of it. as a side note, it took me nearly all day to download the thing on a cable modem and after all that i got no sound for it.

I avoid trailers as well, too much fishtailing unless you get the swaybars just right. Now I just crash in the back seat in a sleeping bag.

Oh... movie trailers

How the hell do you get excited about a project if you don't know anything about it?

If I didn't see the trailers, I would have waited until the DVD to watch the movie since I did not care for the first film, now I'm hoping for a midnight showing of the film just because of the trailers and TV spots which just blew me away.

I went to see anger management and didn't know the trailer was going to be one of the ones played and I ended up watching part of it. I tried not to but I couldn't help it.
