It is a preorder but it comes out this Monday 4/15. I thought it was a great price. I loved his first album. I listen to it all the time.

Very cool! I love his first album as well.
I noticed that Rolling Stone did not give the new CD a favorable review. Typical. They did not give Aimee Mann's latest a good review either and it's an excellent CD. But then, what can we expect from a magazine that features Britney and Avril on the cover of its women in rock issue?
Yawn.

Rolling Stone also gave Nirvana's "Bleach" and (if memory serves me correctly) "Nevermind" bad reviews when they first came out.
Later on, for the RS Nirvana compilation book of articles from the magazine, they rewrote the reviews.
Moral: take RS reviews with a grain of salt.

Hard to judge on just one listen. The last album had 4-5 songs I think were just incredible, but then again, it took a little bit for me to even get into those (the music I normally listen to is WAY more harder and faster).
This album is along the same lines as the last one. Commercially acceptable soft acoustic based rock, but "authentic" as opposed to the usual manufactured crap you'd hear on the airwaves. Seems to be more consistant too. I don't know if I'd skip over too many songs on this one as I have on the last one. Then again, time will tell and that's just my opinion.
The extra PC content is pretty funny! Very Spinal Tapish.

RS rewrote the Nirvana reviews? Those dips didn't even have the balls to stand by what they originally wrote. Typical.
I'm swinging by Target tonight to pick up the new CD

Got the album yesterday, been listening to it nonstop since 5:30 P.M., Great album, I wouldn't call it as good as Musicforthemorningafter, but then again, I wouldn't call anything as good as that album. Yorn has evolved his sound and lyrics a bit to a slightly different style, but the essence of the last album is still here and fans will love it. My favorite tracks : Turn of the Century, and All At Once
There's also a cool 9 minute making of Day I Forgot on the cd. . .great deal for 6 dollars, I encourage all of you who havn't already bought it to buy it. Any other thoughts on the album?

Just now picked this up (not for your low price) after waiting for months, and I have to say I absolutely love it.
Songs 5, 6, and 7 blow me away; and after reading about what each song was about on his bio at peteyorn.com, I really feel like I love every song but one.
Best CD purchase I've made in a loooooong time.
(p.s. for what it's worth, I feel it's a perfect continuation from MFTMA)
