ok folks, warning - this is pretty vague, but it's bugging the hell out of me... heard the song last night (i've heard it before). here's what i can tell you:

female singer, sounds kinda like natalie merchant (but might not be).

fairly recent song (i'd say out within the last few years)

i HAVE heard it on the radio before, so it's gotta be a single from this artist..

kind of mellow song.. laid back slow slinky funky beat, with a strong bass.

beginning kind of reminds me of 'Son Of A Preacher Man'

lastly, the lyrics are (were) hard for me to understand, but the chorus starts off with something like "She cries...........", with 'cries' being very drawn out, sort of whiny...

PLEASE post ANY ideas you may have, and i'll give those songs a listen and post my results.. THANKS!

Hrmm, I don't know about remixes, but I would say most likely yeah as she has worked with the Chemical Brothers and a few other artists like that. Her first album rules all, get it
