Am I the last person to finally see Band Of Brothers?

Just finished episode 10 last night. Wow, what a great series. Really puts many of the events of the war into perspective.

I purchased used copies from Blockbuster about 3 months ago ... my friends have borrowed the set and watched it ... but I have yet to see it. Oh well, maybe this summer. (I'm currently watching the DVDs of the first season of Babylon5 ... something I haven't seen before).

I haven't seen it, and unless a friend has it, I doubt I'll see it any time soon--there's just too many other things on my list of movies-to-see.

I saw it, it was a very well done HBO miniseries, and my local videostore rents it for only $1 / disk.

I watched them sporadically when it was on. I rented the DVD set and finally watched the whole thing about a month ago. Awesome mini-series.

Mine is sitting on the shelf. Just waiting for the right time to watch. Although as of late it seems like a good time.

I would like to see it, but I want to acquire it through a trade. I can only rent one DVD at a time, so it would take me a while to actually get through it, and it would be expensive. I figure that I would trade for it, watch it, and then probably trade it again or ebay it...

definitely a good time to watch it if you own it already. i am surprised that most of the people in the thread haven't seen it. the episodes are not the same and the final few are extraordinary. easily my favorite piece in my collection. and the case is so great as well. i believe it is based on an mre. if you don't want to shell out the money at least give it a rent it is at least worth that much.

I haven't seen it but I also think, as historians go, Stephen Ambrose was a hack. I doubt I'll ever watch it.

i haven't seen it....might once it's on the $1 rack at the video store....and yes Alyoshka, Ambrose was a grandstanding hack and that's part of the reason i've not seen it....haven't avoided it really, but haven't sought it out either.

Why is he a hack? I know very little about him, so just wondering what I am missing.
