24 to finish season consecutively (9 weeks, 9 eps it seems)

The latest commercial - "9 consecutive new episodes"

So, no more American Idol-based vacation time?

Bout damn time.

Crap, I thought you meant no commercials. Oh, well. No Idol is good too.

Great news. These stupid Idol intermissions were throwing me off.

Well, with 10 contestants, it's much easier to fit all of the songs within an hour on American Idol. Plus, Fox wanted to push American Idol into May Sweeps, so we'll get all new shows for the next 9 weeks for both 24 and AI.

I'm glad 24's back, but whoever schedules Fox should be repeatedly beaten over the shins with a Fungo bat. 24 and American Idol just don't go together at all.

Though they should be beaten with a full sized baseball bat for the shows they cancelled last year, considering what they replaced them with.

I wonder - it's a little touchy to be airing a show about (possible) war with Middle Eastern countries...

Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to see Jack in action!

Kill Kim.

I hope these last shows don't get interrupted by war coverage. I mean really, the people who want 24/7 access to the Iraq-a-thon can switch to CNN.

My two cents.

I agree to some extent, but AI draws such a lerge viewership that any they can keep on for the following hour can help ratings. I think their ads have done a good job at piquing interests and getting people to at least give it a try.

That said, I'm really glad that we will have another 8 consecutive weeks of 24.
