Midnight Club 2 online play movie

Just saw this movie of MC2's online play. It looks freakin sweet. I like that you can get your car up on two wheels. Plus the action in general looks fast and furious. Anyone else getting this game? Maybe we can have DVD talk races and post results or sumthin'.

I am definitely picking this one up. If you want to organize some sort of DVDTalk racing "league" let me know, sounds like fun!

PS2 for me. It's a shame we can't play each other (XBOX vs. PS2). That would be a blast.

Xbox for me. I think the graphics will probably be better and I enjoy voice on live with friends.

Yeah I have a NA on PS2 and it's tempting to go that route since the PS2 apparently has a month and a half time exclusive, but I'll hold off since Link will be taking my time I expected.

New preview posted on IGN that gives some additional details. The speed of the game and the ability to setup your own race courses sounds sweet. Once it comes out we'll organize some online race meets fo' sho'.

I was just thinking... this would totally explain the multiplayer code hidden in GTA3. The original GTA3 was based on the Midnight Club engine ... which had multiplayer. It would be very difficult to make GTA3 a multiplayer game and not end up with something radically different than GTA3, so that code was probably just commented out (which hackers found and activated in the PC port). GTA:VC and Midnight Club II likewise share the same engine. If it was developed with this in mind, there's likely multiplayer code hidden in GTA:VC as well.
