He was supposed to address the nation at 8 pm and radio stations and tv stations are gonna cover it, I guess he isn't ready to read his cue cards yet.

Why can't they leave the shows alone and do a running ticker or something? Still annoying bu less so in a way. I realize this is important, but I also would like to have my entertainment escapes.

Hmmmm...if I can do the math, it should be 9:3something EST, would the president really address the nation during primetime here? That would be 11 PM EST, which meants a part of the country would be asleep.
I bet, if anything, we'll hear something tomorrow morning/afternoon. And nothing good is on then.
