Lollapalooza not coming to Canada :/
This is some really shitty news, I was really looking forward to Lollapalooza this year. After posting Toronto as one of their stops this summer they backed out of it today saying that it would be to costly to tour outside the US:
Canucks Out of Luck for Lollapalooza
Tour dates for Lollapalooza were announced yesterday and - much to the dismay of Canadian fans - the traveling festival will be a U.S.-only affair. The tour, which features Jane's Addiction, Audioslave, Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Jurassic 5 and The Donnas, will kick off on July 3rd in Grand Rapids, Michigan and wrap up in Syracuse, New York at the end of August. Sources say that Canadians hoping that some dates will be added north of the border shouldn't hold their breath. The tour is said to be simply to expensive to take outside the U.S.
This year's Lollapalooza will continue its tradition of political activism with information booths from various awareness-raising groups, including Tom Morello's Axis of Justice organization
