Is there a website out there that lists the number of albums sold for any given artist.

For instance, is there a site where I could find out how many albums Nirvana's "Bleach" sold? I don't want the answer to this particular question but you get the idea.

How about just gold and platinum status?

I think there used to be something like this on the RIAA.ORG site but I can't reach it today.

Only problem with RIAA is that it only gives you platinum and gold database...
Thats based on units shipped and not how many albums were actually sold..
Plus a double album counts as 2 to them..so its not really accurate..
Someone could ship a million copies and not sell one copy and they would still get a platinum award..

You have to have an "in" within the industry to get access to Soundscan..
