anybody... Zero Effect?

Great flick with Ben Stiller, Bill Pullman that I haven't heard much talk about. Anyone else dig this film?

Saw this in the theater, bought it on VHS and gladly upgraded to DVD. Love this film. It's one of those "I'll never trade this in" titles.

Welcome to the forum! Since this thread is more about the movie than the DVD, I'm moving it to Movie Talk.

And I like this flick, too.

One of the first films I bought on DVD.

Last year I read that they were working on a TV show based on Zero. We'll see if it pans out...

I got this sight-unseen from CH a long time ago and it turns out to be one of my favorite movies. Its one of those movies that I just never get tired of watching

Because of all the things in the world, you're sure to find some of them."

Sorry to misplace the topic, good to hear from some fellow enthusiasts. Darryl Zero makes a perfect movie character for me. He writes his slef-absorbed autobiography out loud, his pseudo-philosophy is hopelessly tongue-in-cheek, and pounds out crappy originals on the guitar. Effing great stuff.

This was one of my first 4 or 5 DVD purchases. I rented the VHS blind one night when it first came out on video, and my dad and I (who hardly EVER connect on movies, especially comedies), both loved it!

Thanks for the reminder though - I haven't seen it in years!

I "discovered" this movie a long time ago and felt like I had stumbled onto something special. It's one of those "best movies you've never heard of."

I'm pretty sure that the TV show that they were basing on this film is Monk, which has been out for some time. I have only seen a couple of episodes, but it is pretty good.

Tony Shaloub is, of course, the ****.

It is. It was originally a USA Network show, then it was on one of the major networks for awhile. Now it looks like it might be back on USA.

I was just perusing the results from the Golden Globes and noticed that the winner for "Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy/Musical" was...Tony Shalhoub for Monk.

It would make a good TV show. Come to think of it the film sort of feels like it might have been a TV series that never got made so Kasdan Jr. made it into a film.

My roommate in college had this on VHS, and I popped it in one night when I was bored. I really enjoyed the flick.
I went out and got it a year or so ago on DVD and I still enjoy watching it every once in awhile.

The arrangement I believe is that it is run on USA and ABC does reruns. I don't know if ABC will keep it, but it's basically a USA show.
