A married woman is followed by a private detective hired by her jealous husband. They never talk, and they maintain a discreet distance, but eventually form a sort of bond. When her husband calls her and doesn't say anything on the phone, she assumes that it's her tail, and says happily "Is that you?" This convinces her husband that she's seeing another man.
