The Balrog in FOTR(Book & Movie related)
As I was reading FOTR and it seemed to me the Orcs that were after The Fellowship at the tomb in Moria were allied with the Balrog to some degree. 
The Shadow is the Balrog right? Was this not the same "thing" trying to get through the door with the Orcs at the doorway Gandalf blocked with his spell(in the book)? Then it took form mixing shadow with fire near the pillars in the great hall?
Can someone clear this up for me?
