The Unbearable wait for Return of the King
Wow! I just saw this article about ROTK, I cant wait!
http://www.suntimes.com/output/pearl...r-cindy25.html
I was excited before, as much as I love both movies, I have hopes that the last is the most operatic and serious of the three. (i.e. Too many Gimli jokes in TTT)
How awesome is this going to be?
I always wished, but never believed LOTR could get made and still do justice to the source material.
Thank you PJ in advance for the most achingly beautiful adaptation of these books that we could have ever hoped for.

It was just as bad as waiting for Two towers. Just gonna have to suck it up and bare with it. Besides, they're a lot of good movies on the way to hold us over.

He he, I can always depend on Jack to be here while I wait out my overnight hours at work.
I guess, like any great book, it will suck to have it end.
Kinda just wish it could keep going and retain i's quality. What are you looking forward to in the year long wait anyway Jack?
I not being fond of The Matrix feel I have little to anticipate.

Well I'm not to fond of The hulk or Daredevil, but those two are something to look forward to.
Yeah, like any good book, it sucks to have it end. Though I'm sure with all the success of LOTR, we will see a Hobbit movie sometime in the future. Now the real question is if it will be good or not. I'm not sure but thats later on down the road as something up in the air (but like I said, with the success it might aswell be set in stone)
You know what, I change my mind. Unlike the year we just had, this year will be pretty long between the series. I can't think of much else that will be out that is something to hold us over like what we had. Star Wars, Spider Man, and many other great flicks to hold us over.. 2003 IS GONNA SUCK TILL DECEMBER!! AHHH!!!
T3!?!?1 Sure I'll give it a chance, but I'm not really desperate to see it. narf.

I'm not sure if PJ will do a Hobbit movie, I kind of think someone else doing it with a different cast would already have two strikes against it, especially with the fans. I am still willing to hope that PJ will see the light and feel the need to complete the story in one (his) vision. Lets also hope the Two Ians will still be able to do it when the time comes.
I have to admit, I grew up on The Hulk (live action) TV show, I used to love it, so I am quite interested in seeing what Ang Lee can do with it, especially since I love Crouching Tiger so much. Also Gollum gives me new hope for CG characters, though I very much doubt The Hulk will be up to the caliber of Gollum.
Curiosity may get me into T3, just think that without Cameron the movie is a mistake. It got made cause Arnie needs a serious career boost (not to mention $30 million dollars)
Yeah, otherwise, this seems like a thin summer at this point. Lets hope for a surprise or two this year to give us something to bide our time till ROTK.

I walked out of the theatre last night after seeing TTT for the first time, and all I could think about was that I had to wait another year to see the end of the movie!! I can't wait. But I still have to thank PJ, by filming all at the same time at least we only have to wait a year. That is still pretty good, considering most sequels.
