Like 'em both, but Empire wins if I had to make a choice. Just too many things that even TTT can't reach in terms of overall excitement. Not to mention it's shorter and has less draggy moments.

They are two different brands of movies even though they are both "sci-fi/fantasy". I'm sorry, but I enjoy them both for different reasons.
My only problem with Star Wars is that they started the prequels too early. having Anakin being discovered at an early age was a bad idea since you really couldn't get into the characters mentality.

well i find it hard to compare because i am young and empire has been around. also, TTT is based on a book and basically we all knew what was going to happen (although it was still quite beautiful). From what I hear, when empire came out there was massive unrest when it was revealed who luke's father was etc. I can't imagine what this would be like as no recent movie series comes to mind where I didn't know what was going to happen in the next movie.
I think most of us know what is going to happen in Episode III; it's just the details that are still being worked out.

Good point Coldgreen, Empire come out and ended and no one knew what was going to happen next. it left you at a major cliff hanger and folks had to wait a couple of years for ROTJ to be released compared to one year we have to wait.
