ok, so we know paramount and WB absolutely suck, they only care about the bottom line and repeatedly pitch bad movies (the majority of the time...) and insist on sequels that suck big time. so i'm curious which studios you all think are the best at what they do, pay attention the most to the fans, etc.

i think new line (except for their handling of run ronnie run) is doing pretty well right now and dreamworks seem to consistently put out quality films.

miramax was really good at releasing non-mainstream movies that we would otherwise not see, however, they seem to be slipping when it comes to quality and etc. (except for obvious films coming out)

They all suck at producing content. The only films that come out these days that are any good are negative pickups, imported foriegn films, and independent productions that get distributed by major studios or their boutique "indie" releasing arms. Name a good studio produced project from the whole year. I can think of only one: The Lord of the Rings.
