The iPod is the greatest purchase I've ever made. No problems at all to report with it. The only difference between the three is capacity.

Definately get the 10 or 20 gig one. The 5 gig is a bit too small.

What do you guys think of the Treo 15 (15gb) over the Ipod? It can be had for $168 shipped now. What makes the Ipod worth $100 more?

I recommend the Nomad jukebox Zen. It is only $299 (after rebate) the same price as the 5 gb I-pod but it has a 20gb drive. Even though it is a little bit bigger and heavier it is hardly noticeable. Also the most important thing that you should consider is how it sounds and as far as the Zen is considered the sound is amazing but I have heard that the sound from the I-pod is less then desirable, I myself have not heard the sound of the I-pod.

Is this Nomad Jukebox Zen an Apple thing, or is it PC based? I'd like to get one of these things for my PC so I don't have to listen to the same crap in the gym everyday.

The Zen is made by Creative and is made for PC's and supports USB 1 and fire wire if you don't have a fire wire card get one the speed is just incredable.

Well, I ended up buying the Treo 15 I mentioned in my post above. Still haven't heard of any other people with any experience with them, but I think its great. I've never tried any other non-CD based MP3 player, so I really have nothing to compare it to. However, given the fact that I don't really have any complaints with it, I can't really see anything its missing that would be worth $100 or more (price of the other players mentioned). I guess the only thing I could see might be the lack of a line-out. Just has headphone out.
