Courtney Love Doing 24-Hour MTV2 Gig

NEW YORK (AP) - You've really gotta love Courtney Love if you tune into MTV2 this weekend.

For 24 straight hours, the rock diva will be in control of the music network. She'll play the videos she likes, invite her friends over for an on-camera jab fest and do whatever else she pleases, the network said Monday.

"MTV2 has always been home to a variety of artists," said David Cohn, MTV2 general manager. "So much so, we wanted to let them move in, and we are thrilled to give Courtney the first set of keys."

This is the first time the network has relinquished control to an artist for a day, representatives said.

Love won't even need to stay awake the entire 24 hours; an MTV spokesman says when she sleeps, the network will probably show snippets of her dozing.

The former lead singer of Hole will take over the MTV studios in Times Square for "24 Hours of Love" at 8 p.m. (EDT) Saturday.

Love, the widow of Nirvana's Kurt Cobain, has also appeared in the films "200 Cigarettes" and "The People vs. Larry Flynt."

maybe she can help us and let the other members of nirvana release the box set with that new song.

If I had MTV2.

I doubt it, cause you know, since she just married the guy (and had them killed) she should have the say on what happens with the songs.. let the remaining members do what they want with it for gods sakes. Love is lame for that reason.

also.. Looks like kurt did write her stuff since i havn't heard any new album from her.

she's already done plenty of that.. and complained. One concert I went to she jumped out to the crowd to surf and then complained someone grabbed her boobs and etc. What did she expect.. later in the set (not to much later) she just fell to the floor and was gone for the count. only laying so everyone in the crowd could see the "poonage". Just likeher. pretty ugly sight.

She might be pretty entertaining.


After sleep deprivation starts to set in, that is.

Just saw the Princess in "Straight To Hell" on IFC. What an ugly-ass dog. And I don't think nodding out in public is new to Courtney Love.
