George Harrison's final CD out Nov. 19!

Woo hoo! George Harrison's final CD is coming out Nov. 19. I can't believe it's been 15 years since "Cloud Nine" (a great album, one of his best.) Here's what CNN says:

George Harrison's music lives

(CNN) -- George Harrison's spirit continues to speak in an upcoming album.

The former Beatles guitarist had been working on a studio album up until two months before he died in 2001 after a long battle with cancer.

"Brainwashed," due out November 19, almost a year after his death, will be the first release of Harrison solo material since his 1987 album "Cloud Nine."

"George constantly talked about how he wanted the album to sound," one of the album's three producers, Jeff Lynne, says in a press release. He adds, "and there was always that spiritual energy that went into the lyrics as well as the music."

The album features eleven new Harrison compositions and one cover. His son, Dhani Harrison, is also listed as a producer.

I'm glad to hear that my favorite Beatle will have new music out. This is a pleasant surprise which makes his passing away a bit less painful in retrospect.

One of the last people who interviewed Harrison was a guy from one of the guitar player magazines. He said he got to hear the album in demo form and said it was incredible. He described it as having some of Harrison's best songs ever.

I'm really psyched -- Cloud Nine was such a marvelous, lively piece of work and it felt like a bit of a waste that besides a few live CDs and the Traveling Wilburys music, he really hadn't released anything new since 1987. I'll be sad buying it, but I"m definitely going to get it.
