Rap group praises 9/11 terrorist in song

I just caught a little of this story on MSNBC, so if anyone can find out more details it would be appreciated. But Curtis and Kuby were talking about a rap group on Def Jam Records that have a song praising the greatness and courage of Mohammed Atta as he flew his plane into its attended target. One of the rappers explained he doesn't support Al Queda, but does admire Atta's courage and devotion. He also went on to sorta say America "had it coming".

I haven't heard it, but it's some rapper that rapped with Cam'ron.

Not that I listen to him either.

when this sort of thing stops outraging people is when the terrorists have lost their control over us. I'm pretty sure that art is protected under the first amendment rights.

I know Cam'ron has a 'crew' called the Taliban he runs with.

People are so stupid. They get outraged so what do they do? They give him all the free publicity he could want.

Didn't Bill Maher of Politically Incorrect say something similar? Or close enough that Sears pulled their advertising?

Regardless, they have a point: if you're not just totally nuts, it takes a lot of dedication to die like that. Same with the Japanese Zero pilots at Pearl Harbor. Doesn't make it right, but IMHO it tells me you're a lot more sure about starting some ***** with somebody if you do it like that, as opposed to pushing a button thousands of miles away hidden in an underground bunker.

Though the al-Queda is still a bunch of wackjobs, what did we ever do to them?

I agreed with Bill & now I agree with you. It's funny. Our population has expanded greatly, yet there are so few people who take pride in their country like they did back in the day.

Could it be the political process? Or something else?

Taliban, KKK, it's all stupid aggression. If I rapped a song about the KKK being great this punk-ass rapper would be the first to scream his ass off at me. Why are you people even entertaining this moron's opinions?
