DT - Scenes from NY cover recall?
I thought that the Cover with the Twin Towers and the Fire around it was recalled on the day of Sept. 11th, but I Just saw three copies that looked the same at Wherehouse Music.
Did it not really get recalled and changed or do they just happen to have some old ones left?

They were in fact recalled, but it was out each store's discretion if they wanted to pull it or not. These went for obscene amounts of money on Ebay shortly after 9/11 since most stores pulled their stock. Sure enough, I wandered into a Wherehouse store last December browsing and checked the Dream Theater section and they had 2 copies. My guess is since they didn't stock a lot oc copies in the first place, they decided not to pull 'em and send them back to the distributer. Great live CD, no matter what cover you get.

very very true.
since I had the original artwork on pre-order for months before 9/11, I left that one sealed and bought the revised cover version.
Excellent cd set. It's also a decent DVD: especially if you've never seen them live.

I decided to go and get the original copy right after I posted this. I had never listened to them before but everyone praises them so I knew I'd like it. I also happened to order all the rest of their cd's (well the ones CH had) to fulfill some of my requirements. So far I am very impressed with it!

Dream Theater is definitely my favorite band. SFNY captures how incredible they are to see live. If they happen to go through your town on the second leg of this year's tour, you should try to go.
Simply an amazing act.

Edclem is 100% on the money. I just saw them w/Joe Satraini at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago. I got to stand about 3 feet away from John Petrucci during DT's set and just hung my head in shame after that. I'll never be that accurate and fast. Makes me want to sell my guitars and just open a taco stand...

I picked up the CD the day it was released before I heard about the terrorist attack. I had already bought it, opened it and listened to it by the time I heard.
Anyway, definitely one of my favorite bands, up there with Rush and Tool. It's too bad they're not coming anywhere near me on their tour. But I have the CD and DVD, and that'll tide me over until I move somewhere they care about.
