Has anybody bought this? I really like some of the remixes he does and "Ready, Steady, Go" from Bourne Identity is really good. I was thinking of getting it from Borders using the 50% coupon found in Hot Deals.

Nazgul,
I own a lot of the stuff Oakenfold has put on the market(including most every Essential Mix) however this CD is a pure disapointment in my book. It is so comercialized and mainstream-esque...it is hard to swallow.
I am sure you're aware that Oakenfold has not been so true to the underground scene as say Digweed has been. But after the Swordfish soundtrack many of his remixes have been shall I say "quite a bit traditional". With this said, there are 3 or 4 songs that are ok including the Bourne Identity's single you mentioned.
Not to change your intentions of buying it but...listen to the Digweed's new CD-very dark, with some really catchy tunes. Then of course Sasha just came up with a new one as well-AIRDRAWNDAGGER.
Hope this helps!!

I agree that the disc is very mainstream. And very inconsistent. It reminds me of a movie soundtrack CD with lots of big name musicians but no real thread tying the songs together. Not that there *needs* to be said thread on an album, but the hodgepodge of music styles on Bunkka just doesn't sit very well with me.
Having said that....for 50% off, it's well worth it. Personally, the song "Zoo York" - which features that haunting riff from Requiem For A Dream - is worth the price of admission, and "Starry Eyed Surprise" is a fun summer jam. And I get a kick out of Perry Farrel's vocals on "Time Of Your Life." As someone else posted, there's nothing really bad on the disc, just a group of mediocre mainstream with a few standouts. But hell, I'll buy a CD just for one good song, so don't mind me.

I really love "Zoo York" simply because it samples the "Requiem for a Dream" theme. That is extremely haunting--well said.
